Finishing touches to Maromby school and water project in Vohipeno

Finishing touches to Maromby school and water project in Vohipeno

Clean and safe water is finally coming to the area in the shape of borehole pumps like these

The latest well at Maromby (right) is getting a test drive as the push is on to complete six new borehole wells to coincide with the completion of the new classrooms.

The project, in conjunction with our partners TASC Madagascar and Feedback Madagascar, is nearing its conclusion. As well as renovating old classrooms and building new ones to deal with capacity issues, the new school also has an innovative rainwater catchment system to help with teaching the children good hygiene practices. This is the first time Adsum has been involved with such a  system and we hope to use it in other schools in future.

Pat and Stu from TASC will be out on site again next month, we are looking forward to hearing what it all looks like first hand if the impressive pictures to date are anything to go by!
